OATH KEEPERS, is a growing group of military, veterans, police and retired police, who have taken a oath to defend the constitution, and continue to live that oath. They are a group who spread the word to other active military and police about how important keeping their oath is, not just blindly following orders, but to protect and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic.

I don't think OATH KEEPERS is only for those who have taken an oath, but for all Americans who have believe in the oath, and support the spirit of the OATH KEEPERS.

Please read below the 10 orders OATH KEEPERS will not obey. Why, because these orders are illegal. OATH KEEPERS will not blindly follow orders regardless. OATH KEEPERS realize every person under oath has a responsibility to only those order which are legal, and are within the authority of the commanders who issue those orders.

Click on the OATH KEEPERS graphic to the right and visit their blog. Read the many testimonials from those who have taken the oath and those who support the oath....I took my first oath in November, 1965.

When I gave that oath it was giving my word. Interesting fact about taking an oath and giving my word, there is no expiration on my promise!

OATH KEEPERS: Military, Veterans, and peace officers who will honor their oaths to defend the Constitution, will NOT “just follow orders,” will stand for liberty, and will save the Republic, so help us God.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

The 9/12 Project

The 9 Principles

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life. God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday. Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government. Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results. Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable. Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington .

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion. On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me. Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson.

SGP started in the summer of 2008 as the personal blog of founder Stacy Mott. Stacy decided to take things to the next level, and this Ning site was started. They now have over 10,000 members between our Ning and Facebook sites.

Last month my wife became a member of Smart Girl Politics. I got involved offering to her my assistance to post photographs and video clips. I couldn't help but to read some of the post and activities these brilliant ladies are involved in. I'm impressed with their effort and focus.

I'm not so impressed with the "Smart Girl" part, after all we have had smart girls for as long as we have had smart boys. What impresses me the most is their organizational skills and involvement to grow at such a rapid rate and place down a foundation of issues that meets or surpasses that of the guys efforts!

These ladies are serious and they have a voice to be heard and recognized. Guys are welcome to join as well, but I have to warn you fellows, these ladies are out of the box and mean business!
